Transitioning into Spring

Despite the piles of snow remaining, it’s official – Spring is here! After a long (and cold) winter, I’m sure everyone is just as eager to transition into a new season as I am. Spring has always been my favorite season. Perhaps it’s the budding energy, the awakening of the community after the hibernation of winter, and the freshness of growth everywhere you look. Or perhaps it’s that my birthday and EmBe anniversary is also in the same week of the beginning of Spring, regardless I love spring. One of my favorite things about living in this part of the world (besides the great people), is the changing of seasons – especially winter to spring.

I’d be remiss if I didn’t take this opportunity to reflect on the changes we see within EmBe throughout the year as well. Not only does each year write a new chapter in our EmBe story, seasonal transitions mark time and transitions within EmBe as well. We transition our programming and bring in summer team members and new faces each season, shifting throughout the year. Childcare and school age care see little faces transition from the rooms they’re in from Babes to Sprouts. Youth activities change from volleyball, the competitive First Lego League season, to introducing the Spring Girls on the Run Season to Summer Camps. Women’s Programs change into new cohorts, the introduction of new programs, and everything in between. Meanwhile, our Aquatics activity ramps up with lifeguard training and summer swim lessons at EmBe and communities around!

As we lean into the fresh start of a new season, looking ahead to the upcoming months is encouraging and energizing. Whether you are looking forward to Summer Age Care, getting outside with childcare to enjoy gardening and playing outside, or are eager to start a new program within your pillar, it is an exciting time for our entire team!

We are fortunate for the tenure and years of EmBe experience that can be seen throughout the organization merging with new faces at EmBe. With the change of season, there is a buzz of energy at all our locations. We are all encouraged to be our best and do our best every day, whether we are at an EmBe site or with our loved ones at home. I encourage you to get outside and enjoy the beautiful weather as the days keep warming up and to look around with clear eyes as you bask in the newness of this spring transition!
