The purpose of each course is to give individuals the opportunity to learn and practice content within a formal course setting. The course format optimizes a participant’s ability to successfully complete the knowledge and skills evaluations of CPR and AED.
An instructor will give the written test, and upon passing, will provide the participant with signs of the victim’s conditions for which the participant should provide proper care.
EmBe has a program that is intended to train individuals in the skill and knowledge needed to be certified in CPR and AED. The training is approximately a four hour course.
Certification requirements:
Pass one written test with a minimum grade of 80% or better on each section
Successfully complete four final skill scenarios
Successfully perform all critical skills and participate in class
If you do not see an upcoming class on the schedule please contact the EmBe Wellness Director at (605) 336-3660.
The class does NOT meet lifeguard requirements. Call the EmBe Wellness Director at (605) 336-3660 if you would like to be CPR certified for lifeguarding.
