EmBe Youth Volleyball program provides kids an opportunity to learn the skills of the game in a recreational, non-competitive, environment.

EmBe and Kairos Elite Volleyball Club with Avera Sports have collaborated to bring an even greater volleyball experience to youth! With a shared vision to positively influence the lives of youth through volleyball; area kids will benefit from the knowledge offered by the two organizations, providing a seamless experience that fits each child. More than 1000 youth benefit from the EmBe and Kairos partnership. We offer two seasons of league play; one in the winter (Jan.-April) and one in the fall (Sept.-Nov.). Teams in each league will be formed according to grade and school attending with ten youth and two volunteer coaches each. Our league is broken into two divisions; 3rd-4th grades and 5th-6th grades.

Cost: $95.00
This includes 10 weeks of play – 1 scheduled practice per week (11 weeks), 2 back to back games every other Saturday (1o weeks), EmBe Volleyball team t-shirt and season end participation medal.

Will take place at either EmBe Downtown Gym or the Avera Human Performance Center for one hour between 5:30pm – 9:00pm on Mondays or Thursdays.  If a coach chooses an alternative night to practice, the coach must find their own practice site.

League Games:
Will be held on Saturdays between 8:00 am – 5:00 pm at the Avera Human Performance Center.  Most games will be from 8am-1pm, with the exception of Oct 17 (1-6pm).  Each team will play 2 back to back games on a Saturday and play every other weekend.  We will play 3-4 grade league games one weekend and the 5-6 grade league games the next.

Season End Tournament:
Fall 2020 Update:  To limit exposure due to COVID-19, we will postpone our traditional season end tournament play.  We will reassess this decision each season, until the pandemic is over.  The final weekend of the season will be regular back to back games. Each participant will receive a participation medal.

Head coaches must be an adult (21 years or older) and assistant coaches must be 16 years or older. A volunteer application and background check must be completed by each coach.

Kairos is a partner of Avera Sports Institute.

Thank you for choosing EmBe Youth Volleyball Camps!

In order to keep every safe, we must adhere to the following COVID-19 related rules of the Avera Human Performance Center.  These policies are in place to limit the number of people in the building to be able to provide opportunities for social distancing.  These policies are subject to change.

Anyone that enters the Avera HPC building must have their temperature taken and answer a series of COVID-19 related questions.

Only one spectator can accompany each player to practices and games.  We are working with Avera to possibly be able to livestream Saturday games for more family members to enjoy.

All spectators must be masked.  Players/Coaches must be masked when entering and exiting the building.  Players do not need to be masked while playing volleyball.

To limit exposure (leaving and coming back), games will be played back to back.  For example, (tentatively) plan your schedule around game blocks of 8-10am and 10:30am-12:30pm.

On game days, only one game ball will be used per court.  Teams can play a coach tossed “mini game” the first 5-10 minutes to allow the kids to warm up.

Can you empower women and families with a donation?

The COVID-19 pandemic impacts our community more and more each day. Suspending program offerings and decreasing demand for childcare are impacting our organization. We ask you to consider a donation to EmBe so that we can respond to urgent community needs like childcare scholarships and employment resources. Click here to learn more about how you can help.
