Empowerment starts here

EmBe’s School Age Care programs help children grow. Our programs offer a safe, fun way for kids to spend time before and after school and in the summer. Our relaxed environment facilitates learning and recreation, helping children develop friendships and new skills with programs like Before and After School, No School Days, and Summer Care and providing kids with unique learning opportunities and hands-on involvement.

School-age students will have the opportunity to explore a variety of social, life, motivation, enrichment skills, and self-improvement activities, including arts, crafts, STEM, special guest speakers, and more.

Before School
Students have the opportunity to get last-minute help with homework, socialize with friends, have breakfast, and enjoy some leisure time.

After School
We teach children with engaging projects such as art, gym games, sewing, club involvement, community service projects, group and special activities, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math), reading, socializing, and help with homework. Although participation in daily activities is not mandatory, we encourage students to explore different areas daily. A healthy snack and juice are served daily.

EmBe’s No School Days are aligned with the school calendar to offer a fun-filled, supervised day for K-5th school agers. EmBe provides a relaxed, balanced program with time to play and learn with friends, finish homework, and let off steam when school is out for holidays, teacher in-service days, and other school breaks.

EmBe delivers what your child wants: enticing learning opportunities, engaging involvement, and unique experiences. They spend time with friends and enjoy activities relevant to school-age interests.

You must register two weeks in advance.

Summer School Age Care offers unique weekly theme-based sessions filled with exciting activities for students. Activities include cooking, science, arts, crafts, sports, theater, club days, indoor and outdoor swimming, community service projects, Girls on the Run, special guests, mentoring, and more! Breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack included.

Hours: 6:00 am – 6:00 pm, Monday – Friday.

Our goal is to offer a safe, healthy and fun environment for your child(ren). Parents remember to keep their children home if they display signs of illness. We will be following illness exclusion procedures to ensure the safety of our children, families, and staff. We will continue the sanitation of common areas and toys to prevent the spread of illness. We will continue to educate children and staff on specific hand washing techniques.

Q: If my child or anyone in the child’s household exhibits the following symptoms of fever, cough, sore throat, trouble breathing, headache, or diarrhea, may we bring our child(ren) for care at EmBe?

A: No. We are only as safe as all of our parents and guardians allow us to be. We ask that you notify your primary care physician for direction and keep your child’s site manager updated.

Q: Are toys allowed from home?

A: No. To reduce the spread of germs, no toys are allowed from home. All EmBe toys, puzzles, books, and games are sanitized between use by children.

Testimonials

“We sure appreciate all that you and your staff are doing at EmBe to make the summer fun for the children and keeping all as safe as possible. These sure are challenging times, to say the least. Having you open and run summer programs has been a lifesaver for both kids and parents after being at home for a few months!”

– Joan Neilan

“I am a single mother who needs to work at least two jobs to make ends meet. With the recent events of Covid-19, I lost my second job. At the same time I had a couple of unexpected things impact me financially and I was really stuck. I needed care but could not afford it. I filled out a scholarship form and shortly after submitting it, I received a call back asking, ‘how can we help you?’ I am so very thankful and appreciative of the support. EmBe truly cares about the families that they serve.”

– School Age Care Family

“The day my foster daughter arrived, I felt overwhelmed. I had never been a parent and to know I was not caring for someone else’s child was a huge responsibility and life change. I learned a lot through homeschooling during COVID-19 but I am so grateful for EmBe, which provided daycare for my foster daughter so I could work and get errands done. EmBe keeps her active, not always on technology and gives her the opportunity to play with other children and make new friends. It has given me peace of mind to know she is in good care while I work.”

– Julie Pommer

“Our kids love EmBe! We have one in the after school program that stays busy every day, especially with outside play. Our toddler talks about his teacher nonstop and when I tell him he is going to see he says “yay!!!” It makes you feel good that they love going to daycare.”

– Nicholas Devries
