Spreading Awareness The See Us movement works to spread awareness about female athletes being underrepresented, sexualized, and judged based on appearance rather than ability. Founded [...]

Staff Spotlight: Stacy Stahl

2019-04-24T09:15:21-05:00

“Look at what I can be.” You might wonder if that’s Stacy Stahl’s personal mantra or if it’s the underlying theme to the programs she directs at EmBe. The real answer is that it is both. As the Youth Development Director, Stacy has repeatedly shown what she, and her programs can be, by taking on new challenges and roles in her 11 years at EmBe. Before coming to EmBe, Stacy was already paving the way for herself and her community. Taking a job in Japan as an English as a Second Language teacher, Stacy pushed outside of her comfort zone [...]

Staff Spotlight: Nancy Fallon

2019-01-15T13:37:08-05:00

“Did I tell you I was a singer too?” With a smile and a sly look in her eye, she pulls out her phone and starts to play a song. By this point, it shouldn’t be a surprise that our Director of School Age Care (SAC), Nancy Fallon, has another hidden talent, but her quiet, unassuming manor keeps these gems tucked away. Music is just one of her creative outlets. Taught to play the guitar, accordion, piano and harmonica by her [...]

2019-01-15T13:37:10-05:00

“Back then we called it bossy, now we call it good leadership skills.” Erin Bosch, Director of Women’s Leadership and Executive Director of Dress for Success Sioux Falls, laughs as she recalls the labels she faced as a strong-willed and empowered young girl. Those same traits that Erin had as a kid, mixed with her ability to take risks and always learn something from them, have set the tone for her career and have helped nurture hundreds of women through her work at EmBe. As a young professional, Erin took on small business ownership with gusto - another one of [...]
