About Abby
Abby Bischoff is a nonprofit professional and a photographer from Sioux Falls. Abby is the Executive Director for the Stockyards Ag Experience, a nonprofit located at Falls Park that seeks to connect people to agriculture. When she’s not sharing the story of agriculture, she’s got a camera in her hands as the photographer behind Flock Studio and Abandoned: South Dakota. Abby has volunteered with the All Saints Neighborhood Association, the South Dakota Advertising Federation, LSS Everyday Heroes mentoring program, the Billie Sutton Leadership Institute’s mentoring program, South Dakota FFA, and local and statewide 4-H groups. Abby is a farm kid from Huron and a SDSU journalism graduate. She loves indie music, heartfelt TV comedies, and bold lipstick. She’s the world’s greatest aunt to seven “niblings” lives in Sioux Falls with her cats Nancy Purrlosi and Nora O’Pawnell.
What does leadership mean to you?
Collaboration. Listening. Grace. Gratitude. I’ve spent time working under great leaders and less than that leaders. The most success I saw came from leaders who had big tables with lots of seats that welcomed and valued everyone. Bringing together different views and values around a shared mission can be challenging, but strong leadership will navigate that process with grace and gratitude.
