A few weeks ago, we had the fantastic opportunity to gather our past cohorts together for an evening of reminiscent fun, engagement and storytelling. The Women’s Leadership Reunion Celebration was hosted at the Washington Pavilion in the Visual Arts Center. An added bonus to our event was the History of Women was currently on display; a true testament to the powerful women who filled the room. It was truly a memorable evening filled with reconnecting and reflecting on the impact this program has had on our lives and community.
There was laughter and conversation amongst reunited groups sharing life updates since graduation that could be heard throughout the evening. Remarkable testimonies, poems and keynotes were made by past participants, as well as, Women’s Leadership Program Director Melissa Hiatt, and EmBe CEO Kerri Tietgen, who shared her journey from program participant to EmBe CEO.
“Getting together to see previous cohorts was so needed! These women brought such great impact on my life and getting to connect with them again was just what I needed. The Reunion event was so fun and empowering, as to be expected when these fantastic women get together. Thank you to the EmBe team for putting it together. I will truly never forget what this program has done for me and will definitely be attending any future events!” – Shannon Mollet, WLP Graduate
What a pleasure it was to come together to honor our collective successes and celebrate the incredible journey we’ve shared made for a memorable evening. Since 2013, EmBe Women’s Leadership Program has empowered over 300 phenomenal women, helping us grow, lead, and support each other in remarkable ways.
“The EmBe Women’s Leadership Reunion Celebration was so special! A quick summary: Energy. Ambition. Encouragement. Laughter. Unity. Connection. Celebration. There were so many incredible women in the room gathered in community with each other. I get to work side by side with three WLP grads and they make a huge impact on those around them. They teach me every day and bring me so much joy. Thank you to EmBe for bringing together this group of women who share a common bond of the Women’s Leadership Program!” – Alicia Schumacher, WLP Graduate
