EmBe is announcing that Jennifer Smith Hoesing has joined the organization as their Chief Development Officer. She began her role on February 4, 2019. Hoesing is leading the development function, defining strategy and direction at a pivotal time, as EmBe plans for its 100th anniversary in 2021.
“Jennifer brings incredible energy and passion to our work serving women and families in our community,” said Karen Lundquist, EmBe’s CEO. “Her unique perspective as a parent who utilizes EmBe childcare and as a woman advancing in her career adds powerful insight to all that she does on our behalf.”
Hoesing, of Sioux Falls, has held leadership roles in government and nonprofit organizations across the United States since 2009. With a strong commitment to aligning mission and community need, she has successfully championed the arts, downtown revitalization, and served as the Executive Director for the Sioux Falls Stockyards Ag Experience. Under her direction, Stockyards Ag Experience brought to reality the vision of an 1800-square foot museum at the Falls Park Horse Barn and successfully completed a Sioux Falls Area Chamber of Commerce Community Appeal.
“It’s an honor to be part of this cherished community organization,” stated Jennifer Hoesing. “The support for our mission is powerful, and I have confidence that EmBe will continue to increase in impact with the Sioux Empire region’s continued support.”
Hoesing is a native of Marcus, Iowa, and a graduate of Luther College. She earned a master’s degree in arts administration from Florida State University.
