EmBe Summer Volleyball provides kids an opportunity to learn the skills of the game in a recreational, non-competitive environment.

EmBe’s summer program runs for four weeks. Teams are divided into two divisions: incoming 3rd-4th graders and incoming 5th-6th graders for the 2026-2027 school year. Open to both boys and girls. Each team consists of 10 youth and 2 volunteer coaches. The 3rd & 4th grade division will start in June. The 5th & 6th grade division will start in July.

Registration & Team Information:

Registration cost: $106.5 – includes applicable sales tax. Limited spots available in each division!

  • 3rd & 4th grade division’s registration will close on April 24th at 5pm
  • 5th & 6th grade division’s registration will close on May 29th at 5pm

All skill levels are invited to participate in our recreational league. Our league is made up of two divisions: incoming 3rd – 4th grades and 5th – 6th grades in the 2026-2027 school year, boys and girls. EmBe reserves the right to mix players from different schools to form teams. League organizers do their best to accommodate special requests and preferred practice days, but preferred placement is not guaranteed. Each team will be led by two volunteer coaches and meet one day each week for a one hour practice.

Practice Schedule:

Practices are held on either Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays at EmBe downtown (300 W. 11th Street) or EmBe South (3510 W Ralph Rogers Rd) between 6:00 pm – 8:45 pm for FOUR WEEKS. Practices are led by two volunteer coaches. If you team does not have the required coaches on your team, your team will not be able to proceed to participate in a summer volleyball season.

  • 3rd & 4th grade division practice starts the week of June 1st
  • 5th & 6th grade division practice starts the week of July 6th

Game Schedule & Information:

Games will be held at the EmBe South (3510 W Ralph Rogers Rd) on Sundays. Games will be played on the following dates:

  • 3rd & 4th grade division: June 7, June 14, June 21, & June 28
  • 5th & 6th grade division: July 12, July 19, July 26, & August 2
  • Games are held from 1:30pm to 6:00pm. Game schedules will be emailed with team placement.

Teams will play two back-to-back games per game day. Recreational play is emphasized while regular volleyball rules are followed. All players are required to wear non-marking tennis shoes. Kneepads are required. Each participant will receive a team t-shirt for game days.

We will not turn anyone away based on inability to pay. If you are in need of a scholarship, please fill out the scholarship application.

Volunteers make this program successful!

No volleyball experience necessary to coach a team. We ask that volunteers have a passion for mentoring young athletes and helping them be their very best! Two coaches (male or female, 18 years & above) are required for every team, creating flexibility in scheduling! If a team does not have two coaches, they cannot continue with the season.

Volunteer coaches are provided training materials and practice plans for the entire season. Coaches give 1 hour of their time each week to their team. Game days will be two hours every Saturday afternoon for four weeks, for a total of four game days. We do understand schedule conflicts arise, we ask that all coaches be present at majority of practices and games.
