Position Title: Mitchell School Age Care Program Supervisor

Status: Non-Exempt/Part-time

Summary: The Lead School Coordinator of Mitchell School Age Care (SAC) is responsible daily management of the SAC sites, leadership, supervision, and development of SAC staff, policy administration, provide staff training, licensing regulation, compliance, curriculum management, along with parent communications and enrollments.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure EmBe mission, vision, values, culture, and expectations are reflected in all interactions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with the principals and superintendent to ensure a healthy partnership is achieved.
  • Reinforce and lead a culture of empowerment and continuous improvement. Mentor the attitude of honesty and mutual respect. Model professionalism, accountability, and personal responsibility to staff, children and customers.
  • Partner with Manager of School Age Care to identify and implement program growth opportunities.
  • Training and implementation of site operations, ensuring adherence to all state and federal licensing and nutritional requirements and reporting.
  • Monitor site operations and ensure completion of curriculum and regulatory licensing requirements.
  • Maintain appropriate site ratios by coordinating staff schedules and absences.
  • Assist School Age Care Assistant Manger in interviewing and hiring assistant teachers based on site ratios and staff schedules, when needed.
  • Conduct tours of SAC sites for prospective families.
  • Be an advocate for services and promote enrollment.
  • Assist families through the enrollment / discontinuation process, annual form updates by answering questions as needed.
  • Contribute to parent communications as needed.
  • All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Previous management experience in an early childhood setting or similar experience
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience working with children required.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be a professional, self-motivated, and self-directed individual.
  • Computer skills and knowledge in Word, Excel and ProCare.
  • No staff member will have a felony conviction on record within the past five years.
  • Some travel between sites throughout week, as needed.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to see, speak, and hear.
  • Frequent sitting and use of hands and fingers to handle, feel, or reach.
  • Frequent standing and walking.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 40 lbs.
  • Occasional need to climb, balance, kneel or crouch.

  • Work is primarily performed in an indoor environment.
