SUMMARY: Monitor pool area to prevent accidents and ensure the safety of all patrons. Respond

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Monitor and enforce all aquatics facility policies, rules and regulations
Recognize and respond appropriately in emergency situations
Perform daily inspection of pool area and report any unsafe conditions or equipment needs
Accurately complete records and reports
Participate in regular in-service training sessions and maintain necessary certifications
QUALIFICATIONS
In-depth knowledge of lifeguarding surveillance and rescue techniques
Knowledge of EmBe facility, policies and procedures
Effective communication skills
Current certifications in the following areas:
- American Red Cross Lifeguarding
- American Red Cross First Aid
- American Red Cross CPR for the Professional
- American Red Cross AED Essentials
