This year’s Tribute to Women event is going virtual on May 19 at 7 pm. Amid the greatest public health challenge of the past 100 years, EmBe is still here working to lead, empower and inspire the community. By moving Tribute to Women online, we can safely honor and celebrate the nominees who contribute so much to our thriving community. Lead sponsor Avera shares a passion for those making a difference.
“The nominees are outstanding individuals who give us tremendous examples to follow and inspire us to grow beyond who we are today,” said Lindsey Meyers, Vice President of Public Relations at Avera.
Avera has long been an EmBe partner. Both organizations share strong values based in mission of service to the community.
“Avera’s health ministry is always in tune with helping people in need and those at the margins of society, for example, through our downtown clinic in Sioux Falls for the uninsured, and our charity care program for those who do not have the means to pay medical bills,” Meyers said. “We also partner with numerous missional organizations to fulfill other basic human needs.”
We are all facing challenges in these different days but a commitment to those making a difference is enduring. Both EmBe and Avera recognize that sharing important and uplifting stories from individuals in our community will showcase why this community thrives. It’s because of our incredible people.
“Our community would not be the wonderful place that it is without their contributions,” Myers concluded.
