Avera’s commitment to making a positive impact shows in its partnership with EmBe Dress for Success Sioux Falls. As one of South Dakota’s largest employers,
Avera invites Dress for Success Sioux Falls clients to job shadow and encourages them to ask questions and even apply for open positions.
“Avera couldn’t do the work that it does without community organizations like EmBe’s Dress for Success Sioux Falls and the wonderful services they provide,” Angela Schoffelman, Avera Practice Management Support Partner says,
The In Her Shoes Empowerment Breakfast is an energizing event benefiting EmBe Dress for Success Sioux Falls. EmBe is proud to work with Avera, the In Her Shoes lead sponsor.
Angela attended her first In Her Shoes Empowerment Breakfast a few years ago and was amazed by the impact of EmBe Dress for Success Sioux Falls programs.
“I had previously only known this organization as one that provides clothing for women that were interviewing for jobs or joining the workforce,” Angela shares. “I learned that it’s so much more. They empower women to break the cycle of poverty through confidence building, education, assisting in securing employment and encouraging clients to define their own successes.”
EmBe Dress for Success Sioux Falls continues to be an important part of Angela’s life. “I have been lucky enough to have had many supportive female mentors throughout my life and career. It is an honor to be able to pay it forward,” Angela said. Volunteering as a client coach or mentor for Women to the Workforce gives Angela the opportunity to give back to the community.
“I am able to help these women build their confidence and see past their current or previous situations,” Angela stated. “The connections that I make with the clients, volunteers and staff at EmBe Dress for Success Sioux Falls are priceless.”
