Welcome In Her Shoes Emcee Vanessa Gomez

/, In Her Shoes, Women/Welcome In Her Shoes Emcee Vanessa Gomez

We are excited to announce Vanessa Gomez, Weeknight Anchor and Reporter for KSFY, as our emcee for the 2020 In Her Shoes Empowerment Breakfast benefiting Dress for Success Sioux Falls. Dress for Success Sioux Falls has impacted 2,290 women since 2013 by providing opportunities and services that can provide a network of support for women to enter or return to the workforce. All Dress for Success Sioux Falls services are offered free to charge.

Vanessa joined the KSFY team in February of 2016 as a morning reporter and was promoted to weeknight anchor in February 2019. Originally from Sacramento, California, Vanessa’s love for broadcasting started in middle school when she anchored the morning announcements. She kept pursuing a journalism career, and graduated from the University of Southern California in May of 2015. She worked at KOVR in Sacramento prior to coming to Sioux Falls in 2016.

Vanessa will play an important part at the In Her Shoes Empowerment Breakfast, all supporting programs that assist women in gaining financial independence in our community on February 6.

“It’s important that every woman has the opportunity to feel empowered and succeed in life. The fact that EmBe helps make this happen in our community and I’m going to be able to help spread the word about it, is an amazing opportunity. I hope to bring the energy on February 6 during a powerful morning, that will hopefully leave people inspired to do more in their community!”

Please help us welcome Vanessa! Tickets and tables for In Her Shoes can be purchased online here.
