Spring 2021 New Coach Application Opens
Become a Girls on the Run Coach!
Girls on the Run strives to help every girl activate her limitless potential and ensure that she is free to boldly pursue her dreams. You can help make this possible by becoming a GOTR Coach and making an investment in the life of a girl! Each season, Girls on the Run has a dynamic group of coaches that volunteer their time to guide and mentor girls so that they are prepared to become happy, healthy, self-confident adolescents and adults. Our Spring 2021 GOTR season may look a bit different than previous years as we continue to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic. We know that social connection, physical activity and creating a space for girls to express themselves in more important than ever. We are still finalizing our plans for the upcoming season and more information will be available very soon!
Each team consists of 6 to 15 girls that meet afterschool around 3:00 or 3:30 pm. The GOTR team meets twice a week throughout the season. Each team will have 4 – 6 coaches to lead the girls with a minimum of two coaches at each practice. Coaches lead the team through a comprehensive, interactive fun curriculum. All materials are provided. It’s our volunteers that bring this program to life!
GOTR Coach Requirements:
- Must be 18 years old or older
- Lead a healthy lifestyle
- Interest in mentoring girls and being a positive role
- Can commit to one, 75 minute practice a week
