Summary: Mitchell Area Site Coordinator is responsible for providing management, leadership, and direction for EmBe programs at designated sites. Primary area includes overall daily management of individual sites, leadership, supervision and development of satellite staff, policy administration, licensing regulation compliance and curriculum development and management, along with parent communications and admissions.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure EmBe brand, mission, vision, and values are reflected in all interactions.
  • Demonstrate and reinforce professionalism, appropriate language, take responsibility for actions, and mentor positive behaviors to all throughout the programs.
  • Oversee daily program activities at all four sites.
    • Spending one after-school day at each site.
  • Empower staff members to create an effective learning environment with high-quality care and customer service.
  • Ensure the implementation and management of school age care program curriculums.
    • Follow the curriculum set by management weekly during observations.
  • Manage programs to maintain maximum capacity and attain appropriate program ratios.
  • Implement procedures for fire and weather-related emergencies. Conduct regular practice drills as required.
  • Report any conditions that create an unsafe situation for staff or children.
  • Create and maintain relationships with principals, teachers, and maintenance staff at offsite facilities within the community.
  • Conduct tours of facilities for prospective families.
  • Act as an advocate for services and promote enrollment.
  • Address parental concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensure all paperwork is completed and delivered to the sites.
  • Contribute to a monthly parent newsletter and prepare parent communications as needed.
  • Maintain active involvement in EmBe activities as they relate to the bigger picture organization, i.e., fundraising events, staff development, programming opportunities.
  • Regular attendance as scheduled.
  • All other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

  • High School Diploma Required.
  • Previous management/teaching experience in a school age care setting or similar experience with school-age children.
  • Strong organizational skills/ good details to oversee teachers and kids
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must be a professional, self-motivated, and self-directed individual
  • Computer skills and knowledge in Word, Excel and ProCare desired
  • Broad knowledge of community childcare programs desired
  • No felony conviction on record within the past five years.

  • Frequent standing and walking
  • Occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs.
  • Occasional need to climb, balance, kneel or crouch
  • Vision abilities include distance and close vision

Work Exposure:

 

  • Work is primarily performed in an indoor classroom environment. Occasional outdoor exposure when weather permits.
  • Noise level is moderate to loud due to equipment and children.
  • Routine exposure to household sanitization and cleaning chemicals
