POSITION DESCRIPTION: The School Age Care Site Coordinator is responsible for providing organization, leadership, and direction for EmBe SAC programs at designated site. Primary responsibilities include overall daily management of individual sites, leadership, supervision and development of satellite staff, policy administration, licensing regulation compliance and curriculum management, along with parent communications and admissions. A passion for the mission of the organization is a key for success.

HOURS: Monday-Friday 6-8:30 am and 2-6 pm.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Ensure EmBe brand, mission, vision, and values are reflected in all interactions.
  • Reinforce and lead a culture of empowerment and continuous improvement. Mentor the attitude of honesty and mutual respect. Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and personal responsibility to staff, children, and parents.
  • Ensure the implementation and management of all curriculum.
  • Schedule staff: coordinate absences to maintain appropriate classroom ratios.
  • Report any conditions that create an unsafe situation for staff or children.
  • Create and maintain relationships with principals, teachers, and maintenance staff at offsite facilities within the community.
  • Act as an advocate for services and promote enrollment.
  • Address parental concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Regular attendance as scheduled

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associates or bachelor’s in early childhood, CDA, or related field preferred
  • Previous management/teaching experience in an SAC setting or similar experience with school age children
  • Strong organizational skills/ good details to oversee 8 teachers and kids on correct buses
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must be a professional, self-motivated, and self-directed individual
  • No substantiated history of child abuse or neglect.
  • No staff member or volunteer will have a felony conviction on record within the past five years.
  • No staff members name will appear on the sex offenders’ registry
