“There is a real sense of belonging at EmBe, and we are all working toward one big, shared goal. EmBe has put effort into the little things, making it an enticing place to be part of.”

We are excited to announce that Brandon Hanson has recently joined our team as the Executive Director of Childcare and School Age Care! Within his role, Brandon oversees six key leaders that are directly working within our childcare and school age care facilities. Brandon’s position invests in our senior leadership, determines operational and financial management of our childcare and school age care sites and has a passion for our organization’s mission that is vital to his role.

EmBe has historically pushed its own standards above and beyond what is required. We desire to be a center that parents, employees, and even other centers look to for guidance. That can be seen in everything we do, for example, prioritizing fresh ingredients in our food program, writing and developing curriculum, investing in constant professional development, top-notch customer service, or clean and expertly maintained facilities. Brandon says he looks forward to focusing on the basics that can often be the easiest thing to overlook but can have the most significant impact when given the attention they deserve.

Brandon knows what it means to bring people together around a common goal. He has the business background needed to develop a solid financial strategy. He’s a positive, people-focused leader, and we’re already seeing him make an impact on our team.

In his position, Brandon oversees the business side of what our Childcare and School Age programs are doing. He says it is rewarding to know that he balances the team. “My team has strengths that match my weaknesses and vice versa. We are truly a team, and each person brings something to the table, and we each have a specific and unique impact that is quite special!”

Brandon says the best part of working at EmBe is “the people that work here are exceptionally kind to one another. They all have tremendous respect for one another, and with the amount of time people spend at work, this is a big deal. There is a real sense of belonging at EmBe, and we are all working toward one big, shared goal. EmBe has put effort into the little things, making it an enticing place to be part of.”

Brandon notes that it is evident in the number of scholarships going out the door, the great employee benefits, and the way EmBe approaches work-life balance, that EmBe is actively living out its mission of empowering women and families as its guiding light, even when it’s hard to do.

His favorite way to realign with the “why” of our work is by eating lunch with the kids, playing catch in the gym, or admiring the kids’ artwork which gives a massive boost to the work he gets to do. Brandon says, “It’s hard to have a bad day when surrounded by pure, unfiltered innocence and joy!”
