Toddlers
Building Confidence and Relationships
Busy, eventful and active are all great words to describe our toddler room. Your child will begin learning the life skills of making friends and building relationships all while growing their own self-esteem and confidence. Activities in this room center on the idea that children at this age are ready to play with their peers rather than playing beside them.
Also included are multiple activities that begin to develop your child’s fine motor skills. Art and craft time gives the children the opportunity to use big crayons, markers and paint daubers to begin working on pre-writing skills. The room has access to a sensory table that lets each child use all five senses to experience the world around them.
Your child’s cognitive development is also a top priority. Our staff has designed activities to stimulate the toddler’s brain development. Children practice matching and sorting common items, naming familiar objects, identifying body parts and matching animals to their sounds.
We encourage parents to call or visit any time! Downtown (605) 336-3660 or South (605) 362-9438.
