Financial Assistance
EmBe - we're committed to being accessible to all
EmBe financial assistance provides for the needs of youth, families and individuals who cannot afford the full cost of EmBe memberships and programs. EmBe is committed to being accessible to all, and works hard to support those who may be in challenging financial situations.
What is the EmBe Scholarship Program?
The scholarship program is a sliding fee scale that is designed to provide services for any child, family, adult or senior who desires to participate in programs and services of EmBe, regardless of their ability to pay the prescribed fee. Those not able to pay the full fee may be awarded a scholarship based on their demonstrated ability to pay and EmBe's ability to fund the request. Financial assistance can be granted for one session of a program such as swim lessons, or for up to six month’s membership with optional renewals.
Financial Assistance for Child Care
We use a sliding fee scale based on total household income and the number of household members. We require supporting documentation to verify household size and income, and we consider special circumstances when providing assistance. Financial assistance for childcare is granted for up to one calendar year from the award date.
Am I eligible?
Applicants must work or reside in the service area of EmBe to which they apply.
Over the years, the scholarship program has helped:
- Adults on fixed incomes
- Adults temporarily out of work
- Divorced persons that are experiencing financial hardships
- People overwhelmed with medical bills
- Persons experiencing other financial hardships
- Youth referred by schools, churches and other organizations
EmBe believes a sense of ownership and pride is developed if the financial assistance recipient has contributed to the cost of EmBe involvement. Therefore, applicants will be asked to pay a portion of the fees. EmBe grants financial aid to the extent that funds are available.
